Membership Cancellation Policy
The FCTA membership year is September 1 to August 31. Members may drop their membership by notifying the FCTA President, in writing, of their intention to drop their membership between July 1 to August 15 of each year . A request must be sent via certified mail, or hand-delivered to the FCTA office, or through an email sent to the FCTA President. If necessary, proof of the request during the membership drop window may be required of the member requesting cancellation.
Teachers hired after July 1, 2016, who drop membership will revert to agency fee payer status.
In the event in which a member resigns or terminates their employment, the Board of Education shall deduct the balance of their yearly dues from their final paycheck.
